I have been Headteacher at West Borough for over 11 years. I am a firm believer that if children feel happy and safe at school they will learn. Your child's time with us is precious and all the staff in school work together to ensure all children reach their full potential. We work together with parents, carers and families too, as this partnership is an essential part of a child's progression.
I look forward to meeting you.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Ashley Crittenden (Headteacher). Our Deputy DSLs are Mrs Paula Martin (SENCo/Assistant Headteacher), Mrs Lydia Vincett, (Assistant Headteacher), Miss Marnie O’Toole (Behaviour and Safeguarding Manager) and Mrs Sara Burtwell (Family Liaison Officer).
Our School Prospectus gives an overview of our school. For more information, to book a tour of the school or to meet with the Headteacher, please contact Mrs Bovis, PA to the Headteacher on 01622 726391.
