Maths Learning
We have been reading and writing numbers to 40.
We have been investigating how to show that numbers up to 40 have one ten in them using different equipment.
We have made great progress with our Superhero Maths challenges number bonds to 10, 20 and 100 in our Superhero Maths challenges.
We have learnt how to tell the time to half past and o’clock.

English Learning
This term, we have learnt about the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ in detail, making up actions and retelling the story.
We have been describing characters using adjectives, and have re-written the story with different characters and materials.

Foundation Subjects Learning
Our focus in our foundation learning was Traditional Stories
We enjoyed hearing lots of new and also familiar stories from other countries.

In Science, we have been learning about materials. We have tested the properties of materials to see if they are useful for the three little pigs houses.
We have learnt about mixing materials and how they can change by making shortbread children inspired by the Gingerbread Man story.

In Geography, we have been locating different countries on maps. We have been using interactive maps such as Google Maps and Google Earth to explore where traditional stories are from.

In Computing, we have been developing codes to help Little Red Riding Hood escape the wolf as she walks through the woods.

In R.E., we have been learning about Christianity. We have learnt the story of Jesus’ baptism and the importance of Jesus’ family.
