Damson Class - Term 4 - Starry Night

What a fantastic and busy term we have had!

We have enjoyed learning about Vincent Van Gogh’s painting ‘Starry Night’ and Vincent’s life.  We took on the challenge of creating our own art works, inspired by the style and technique of Van Gogh. We have used different materials too.  They look beautiful in our Art Gallery!

Our English Learning helped support our Science and Topic Learning about our Solar System.  We have enjoyed learning about space and creating fact files about all about the different planets.

Also in English, we learnt about Fantasy Stories including ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy.  We had great fun using our imagination to design our own cardboard box rockets and space vehicles just like Baby Bear.

In Maths, we have focussed on equal grouping both in multiplication and division and we know how to share fairly.

We investigated halves and quarters of numbers and also looked at creating our own flags with fractions of shape.

In Music, we listened to songs about stars and talked about how they made us feel.

In RE, we have learnt about Christianity including why Jesus and the Bible are special to Christians.
