We’re all very excited about next week’s book week. It promises to be a great week with lots going on. I look forward to seeing many of you at our Book Fair, after school today, or next week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Thank you for all the support you give to your children with Reading at home—this week is the highest number of children we’ve ever had take part in Buster’s Book Club—75%! That’s amazing! Fingers crossed that one of our classes is the Kent winner and gets to meet Mister Maker!

Our Core Value focus this term is Responsibility. We are linking this to the British Value of Individual Liberty. This is about children having the freedom to make choices which they know are right. We’ve discussed the choices they have in school:

  • Learning activities
  • School learning council
  • Class forum
  • Clubs
  • Lunchtime activities
  • Partner and group work
  • Learning skills
  • Survey

We shall be exploring this more as we go through the term.

Be kind, be safe, be responsible and embrace challenge
