17.12.20

I can barely bring myself to type this (just in case!) but thanks to everything that the staff, children and parents have done we have managed to survive the term without any bubble closures! This is an amazing achievement and has meant that the vast majority of our children have been able to be in school with limited disruption to their learning. I know some of your children have had to isolate, but hopefully the remote learning and contact from the teachers has made this easier to manage. Thank you, thank you, thank you for following all the rules and guidance we have shared and adapted over the term which has helped to ensure we’ve remained as safe as possible!

We’ve yet to know what January may bring (with much speculation already in the media!) but please be assured we will contact you before the start of term with any updated guidance or risk assessments.

One final plea from me. As stated in Friday’s letter, please do contact us over the holiday period should anyone in your household:

  • develops COVID symptoms
  • receives a positive test result
  • has contact with someone who has tested positive

Once again, thank you for all the kindness and support you have shown the school and staff throughout 2020. It’s certainly been a year like no other! Through all the challenges you’ve shown    respect  and responsibility. Your resilience has been endless! But together we really have lived our community code, “Be kind, be safe, be responsible and embrace challenge!” I’m one very lucky and proud Headteacher.

Best wishes for Christmas and wishing you all a healthy and happy 2021!
