The Greatest West Borough took place last week. More details can be found on page 2 and 3 of this Newsletter and all on your child’s Class Page on our website. It was so lovely to see so many of your at our Showcase on Wednesday!

We hope to use the enthusiasm and enjoyment from last week’s learning throughout this year and beyond as we continue to review our curriculum.

This week we have welcomed 2 teachers from Shanghai who are teaching Maths for 2 weeks to a Year 3 and Year 6 class.

We have been teaching Maths Mastery, the style of Maths taught in Shanghai, for 3 years now, so to have experts in our school, which all our staff have had the opportunity to observe, is invaluable. We plan to host another workshop for parents this year to support your understanding of how we teach Maths.

Our core value for this term is Respect. Each term we revisit our values and remind the children of our expectations and hope you are able to use these values with your children outside of school too.

Our new staff members are settling very well into their new school! A very warm welcome to Mr Bunker, Oak Class TA, Mrs Manser and Miss Taylor who are working in the Nursery, and to Mr Crittenden our new Site Manager.
