Mrs Gemma Jury-Sofi - Interim Headteacher
As the current Deputy Headteacher, I am proud to step into the role of Interim Headteacher at West Borough Primary School.
This is a time for both reflection and opportunity and I look forward to working with children, parents and the wider community in order to maintain our positive ethos, celebrate our achievements, and keep the children at the centre of everything we do.
At the heart of our school is a strong belief that every child matters and where nurturing relationships, respect, and inclusion always have the highest priority. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the very best as they start their learning journey with us.
Our dedicated team of staff strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where all our children feel valued, supported, and empowered to be themselves. We work hard to ensure that every child thrives both academically and emotionally, and that diversity is celebrated as a strength.
I am fully committed to ensuring stability and continuity for all during this time of change.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Gemma Jury-Sofi (Interim Headteacher).
