Our Governors play a large role in the strategic direction of our school.

Meet the Governors
Katherine Atkinson
Chair of Governors
LA Governor since 2017
Katherine is Assistant Director for Management Information & Intelligence in Integrated Children’s Services at KCC.
As chair of Governors, Katherine meets with the Headteacher on a regular basis. She reports on the Quality of Education and sits on the Headteacher Performance Management Group and Finance Group. She has responsibility for Governor Training and Development and GDPR.

Judith Westrup
Vice Chair of Governors
Co-opted Governor since 2020
Judith has previously had children at the school. She is a Speech and Language Therapist and works in schools.
She is the Complaints Governor.

Rebecca Phillips

SEN Governor
Rebecca is Assistant Headteacher and Inclusion Lead at a School in London. She has a daughter who currently attends the school. She is the SEND Governor.

Antony McKenzie

Antony is currently a stay-at-home dad, studying for an engineering degree. He has worked in education for 5 years and has managerial and catering experience. Antony is the Health and Safety Governor.

Lisa Edinburgh
Headteacher
Staff Governor since 2023
As Headteacher, Lisa is automatically a member of the Governing Body. She is supported by another Staff Governor. Lisa sits on the Finance Group.
Lynne Skinner
Co-opted Governor since 2019
Lynne is retired, having worked in schools for over 25 years. She has a knowledge of Finance, Personnel and Admin in schools, having been an Office Manager.
Lynne is the Well-Being linked Governor. She also is chair of the Finance Group.

SENCo
Gemma has taught at West Borough since 2015. She is the SENCo and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Gemma is the Governor with responsibility for EYFS.

Carol is Deputy Headteacher at a Secondary School. She has 2 children who currently attend the school. Carol is the Safeguarding Governor.
